YoriOS is an independent review site for operating systems of all kinds. We test Linux distributions, BSD variants, Windows releases, macOS updates, and niche operating systems with the same rigorous methodology.

Every review follows our standardized testing process: fresh install on reference hardware, one week of daily use, benchmark suite, and a detailed writeup covering installation, performance, hardware compatibility, and daily usability.

We are not sponsored by any OS vendor or hardware manufacturer. Our reviews are funded by our readers, and our opinions are entirely our own. When an OS has problems, we say so. When it’s great, we say that too.
